Where to go for your same sex wedding

http://www.williamsriverhouse.com/

New Business and Gay Church Growth in states with legalized marriage in 2010?

With the move to many states legalizing gay marriage, are there new businesses popping up, and are churches who cater to same sex couples seeing their ministers with newer model cars, and eating out more frequently? Marriage is known to be a pretty lucrative business to start with, and now, it's time to research what are the 'hot' honeymoon places.

Full TV Episodes on Computer

Just researching this - seems this year, there are more available free, so the question becomes, are we at a point where we can stop buying recording devices, toss the old VCR, stop rushing home from yoga classes, and watch when we have time? YES!!! I certainly hope so -- and I don't really want to do the 'marathon' watching from Netflix, where there are 4 shows on 1 DVD, and I end up staying up too late, watching one after another! House, for instance, is on 8 days after initial broadcast...now I am setting up a little chart for myself with the web links, times/dates/fav shows - so I know if it will all work, and when to watch -- the trick will be to keep track of Episode names / numbers...which I don't need to do when I just rush home from Yoga on Monday nights for House at 8:00!!!

FREE TV Disposal / Recycle in Oregon

Just learned that we passed a law to have TV recycling FREE - call Metro for all recycling questions (503) 234-3000. Where you take them is by zip code. For me in Milwaukie, it is any Good Will nearby. This started in January - so hope you all get with it!!

Refreshed by a new weekly Portland ride!

Just re-discovered Brian, at Business OnABike....!! Excellent - they are doing an every Thursday at 3:30 ride, beginning at the Vera Statue!

What do you think about "Recycle Cycle" ?? I go pickup customer's styrofoam, and take it to the recycle place at Foster, that is RIGHT ON the Springwater Corridor!!

Plastics Away...

In my continual quest to reduce my use of plastics, so at least I can feel I am doing SOMETHING for this enormous planet problem:
Looked up the floating island of plastic in the ocean yesterday.
Found out about this wonderful woman: Roz Savage (www.rozsavage.com)
Realized I can buy cat food in bulk, because the cat food bags are lined with plastic.
Last week I froze my raspberries in glass jars for the first time (used to use ziplock bags)
I found out there is a home device that will suck the air out of the jars for freezing....
Realized this morning that I can probably get shampoo in bulk, so looking forward to that, when this bottle is empty - didn't really realize that I have been putting those onto the planet.

Does anyone know if there is a plastics recycling place in Portland?

Going back to work...

Monday's Are The Worst

...when not working, and waiting for the recruiter I talked to last week to phone, or the manager I left a VM for last week ...and silence. Thank the goddess for friend Paul, and Yoga class. Tomorrow I must be more active outside the house. Shop for some groceries, and walk the dog. Tonight and part of tomorrow will be the frightening taxes - if I owe money, I will cry, then seek relief from someone or somewhere. Hoping I don't owe anything.

Yet Another Really Fast Week

...and it is March 6, and there is SNOW in the forecast?! For PORTLAND? That's nutty. Be careful if you are going in for an MRI and they want to shoot dye into you - my friend just spent 3 horrible days, and $150 at the naturopath, seeking treatments for the reaction to the dye. Hives, fever, swollen everywhere, leading to stiff joints. This was iodine. Well, we two are working at buying a house, and selling the ones we each own. What a major ordeal that is! I have to get out of mine soon, unless I find a job - or MAYBE there'll be some bailout money for me to refinance my loan, and get the payments a little lower? We'll see. Working to get my computer upgraded with more memory and a larger hard drive, rather than buy a new one. Ordered memory from Memory Suppliers - was salivating waiting for it - got it! Wrong speed! Dang it!!! I talked to them on the on-line chat - they assured me it was the right kind. So...another memory company on-line, ordered that - much cheaper -- PC100, not PC133 - so....now I am waiting again - I expect Tuesday, probably. Could be Saturday.

Then, met with Chris who is part owner of a consulting firm in town, we are going to chat again as to what I might help them out with. He will set me up with his engagement manager. I plan to talk with Molly, also part owner about the career thing - she and I chatted briefly while I was waiting for Chris.

I was a little freaked out about that side effect mentioned above, went over and helped with dog walking and general support hope you feel better what can I do for you stuff...so now I feel a lot better.

Spent almost the whole day at this computer -- happens every now and then. Trying to get emails cleaned up and cleaned off, so the backup will be easier, and the restore faster - it's needed it for a very long time.

Down to the last $400, so it looks like I'll be taking out another loan to myself from the LOC - not the best strategy, but better than foreclosure. A job will manifest, just when I least expect it. Tomorrow I must at least get the pup out for a little walking.
